How We Experiment
A user-centred design methodology
Crafting Technologies for Body Transformation Experiences we design sensorial, interactive and wearable prototypes. Our user-centred design methodology involves embodied design explorations with stakeholders and designers, fast-prototyping techniques and user tests in the lab and in real-life.
- Sensory actuators
Our prototypes deliver sensory feedback, such as sound, vibrations, mechanical touch etc.
- Wearable and smart textile technologies
We employ e-textiles and other soft materials like silicone to build wearable solutions for natural interactions and real-life contexts, such as medical contexts, people’s homes or the workplace.
- Interactive technologies
Our technologies are interactive. Movement, action and other body signals are transformed into sensorial signals in real-time.
- Body tracking and computing
Our prototypes often integrate sensors that measure movement and bodily signals, allowing body and affective computing.
